We start in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. There, I was exposed to art and science from a young age and my curiosity ensued.

When I was nearly 10, my family moved to the Washington Metropolitan Area. I began to engage in both learning and teaching experiences. In CyberPatriot, I developed my interest in Computer Science through cybersecurity. I also learned more about my other scientific interests such as astronomy and rocks/minerals.

My studies at Texas A&M University (whoop!) led me further into my cybersecurity interest. I also became interested in research while I was there and participated in a study abroad.

With my love of learning came a love of teaching and seeing others learn. Now, I have just begun my Ph.D. journey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I hope to eventually become a professor!
